On Politics and the Economy (as it relates to sports)

-Another interesting article, this time from the Orlando Sentinel, on sports during the great depression (and some hope for sports going forward).
-Today's recession is driving down the price of Super Bowl tickets (H/T Wendy). Also driving down the cost of Super Bowl tickets, the Arizona Cardinals are playing the Pittsburgh Steelers. Give me a storyline to work with in there...
-Tim Geithner's confirmation hearings finally have someone say they'll be stricter terms in the bailout (the money is not really going where it was supposed to...as of yet).
-White powder at the Wall Street Journal office...not going to make a joke--yet.
-Internet porn lives!!!
Others:
-Jeff Kent retires. I think he's Hall of Fame material, but I'll go over it more later. The fact he tried to fight Barry Bonds in the dugout gets him a vote from me.
-Should I buy this?
