LOST is back tonight!

SOOOOO excited for LOST to return to ABC tonight...and a two-hour premiere at that!
With the series finale date set for 2010, we have a lot of questions still to be answered. Let's catch up...
-Entertainment Weekly has a "Totally Lost" section which is Totally Awesome (included is 10 things to know for Season 5).
-I wrote about Ausiello's past LOST spoilers...here some more:

Question: Please tell us which Lost female might not make it through the season? -- Hippo
Ausiello:
I'll do no such thing. Instead, I'll tell you that the mystery will be solved in the closing seconds of the Jan. 28 episode.

Question: Lost? Anything? -- Bia
Ausiello:
Sawyer and a female character whose name isn't Kate will make out this season.

Question: Tonight's the night! Lost returns! I think that calls for some exclusive scoop! -- Sam
Ausiello:
You'll get no argument from me! A Lost insider tells me that Team Darlton is very quietly looking for an actor to play a "younger Phillip Seymour Hoffman-type" for a smallish arc this season, and a much bigger one next. What does it all mean, Doc Jensen? "My guess is they want the Phillip Seymour Hoffman from Synecdoche, New York, because thematically, that trippy movie is very simpatico with Lost. I'm thinking he's some kind of Dharma mastermind, or maybe Jacob -- the true man behind the curtain directing the crazy stage play that is Lost." Once again, he took the words right out of my mouth! Speaking of Lost, I implore you to check out our award-worthy "Totally Lost" section, featuring (among other things) Doc J's exclusive, multi-part video Q&A with Team Darlton.

-I wrote about Doc Jensen's article last week (third bullet point), but he's back with some more nuggets in this article...
-Television Without Pity (one of my favorite sites for "24" recaps and discussion) gives a quick little primer into Season 5.
-The Seattle Post-Intelligencer (forever to be known here as Seattle P-I for space sake) has a guide to catch you up before the start of the season.
-The Daily Beast interviews an executive producer. The Chicago Tribune interviews two others and offers a tip sheet.

Here are my big questions from reading all of these (in no particular order):
1) Life...Who is the person who gives birth in episode 3? Where/when is the island (when may be the better question)? Are the people alive? What is the rest of the back story for the other "Freighters"?
2) Death...Which female character doesn't make it? Is Jin/Locke/Claire/Jack's dad/Charlie dead or not? What does dead even mean on this show? Did Locke really commit suicide?
3) Love...are Penny and Desmond safe together? Who will Kate end up with? What did Sawyer whisper in Kate's ear before bailing the plane? What will Sun and Sayid do thinking their loved ones are dead?
4) Mystery...who is the Asian guy in all the Dharma videos? Why does the statue have 4 toes? Why are Sayid and Ben working together? Is Ben really "good"? What the heck is going on?
And...
5) Was Claire referring to Aaron or someone else when she said "Don't bring him back". Doc Jensen says it could be don't bring Locke back or don't bring Locke back to life. But it could be "don't bring Ben back" or "don't bring Christian back to life" or "don't bring Jacob back"...so many possibilities...

Ahhhhh....so excited!!!!
