Afternoon Links Galore

Let me get out all those links that have been accumulating today...

-More of out with the old...and in with the new. Sometimes you get stuck in between. And if you're really going to start new, start off on a good foot and make new rules.
-More political links: Is Carolina Kennedy finally out of the running for New York Senator? Are her housekeeper and taxes to blame? Are Obama children beanie babies? Did Hamas inflate casualty numbers for PR purposes (surprise, surprise)?
-The Google Party and the first Microsoft Layoffs. Let's hope LoHud is OK after this news.
-Speaking of the economy...how about those baseball free agents (good stuff by Jon Heyman of SI)?
-Madoff riches-to-rags story as one of his associates skips another hearing.
-The Oscar nominations are out! I admit, I've seen very few of these. But, from what I've heard, there could be some people upset Clint Eastwood is not nominated for Best Actor...
-They're siblings on Dexter and now married in real life? Sort of grosses me out...
-The New York Times Freakonomics blog wants to know how many urban planners were influenced by playing SimCity or Rollercoaster Tycoon? (how did I miss this bandwagon after playing those two games so much?)

LOST recaps/thoughts/analysis later...
