The Day The Music Died...and other links

It's February 3rd. 50 years ago today is supposedly when the music died (according to Don McLean) as Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and "The Big Bopper" died in rock and roll's most infamous plane crash. MSNBC apologizes to Don McLean when saying that music in fact did not die that day. And the memory and influence of those who died in the crash lives on.
