My "24" Thoughts

"24" last night started out as the best of the season since the premiere. But the ending was just weird. It just sort of ended. But overall, I'd give it a B+ (reviews from EW and TWoP). The fact that Dubaku can ride public transportation in the middle of a crisis is absolutely ridiculous--even on a "24" scale. Now we find out he has a girlfriend. Wonder if they're going to need to use her for something? Wonder if she ever watches the fucking news and sees her boyfriend is one of the most wanted terrorists in the world and someone who the United States has been looking for all day, and who, by the way, we're about to go to war with. Ditto to anyone who works/rides public transportation (which, in the middle of a crisis like this, probably should be shut down, but I digress.
Also, how does Jack ever have the nerve to tell Tony he needs to turn himself in and face the consequences? Jack has had 7 seasons of running away from the bad things he's done. He wouldn't have been back in United States had some asshole in Sengala (try finding that on a map...I dare you) made him trade himself for a school of children. So, Jack, quit telling Tony what to do, ok?
Still wondering if the Chief of Staff or Head of Homeland Security is a bad guy...will be interesting to find out. And who is the mole in the FBI? "Walsh" and Janice seem to be clean...but could it be Moss (and feeling guilty for putting "Freckles" in danger)? Or maybe that other girl who is sleeping with Walsh behind Mrs. Walsh's back?
The season overall needs some twists and turns and some emotion. The plant manager during this episode (who recently just showed up in LOST) wasn't even played out as sad or dramatic. Janice and Chloe need to be put in the same room together at some point. NEEDS to happen. And I feel like Tony may still have something up his sleeve that isn't so Kosher. Mark that down. Tony ain't surrendering when this thing is over. I think he rather go out like Butch and Sundance before he hands himself over to the people who sent him to jail, sent him into an alcoholic depression and then killed Michelle. Just a hunch.
