Friday Afternoon Links

-I hate to even think about it...but what if Google didn't exist anymore?
-Bad news for a good beer as Hop Obama got shut down by the Feds (H/T Sarah)
-Hilarious hockey announcing (H/T Jordan)
-Deep within this article is a tidbit that Gary Bettman met with Yankees' brass to talk about maybe bringing the Winter Classic to the new Yankee Stadium. That would be so cool!
-Speaking of the new stadium, New Stadium Insider may have come up with some obstructions for the audience.
-Tyler Kepner talks about a few positional issues that the Yankees still need to work out (and says that Joba is a starter...sorry, Paul!)
-Joel Sherman points out that the Yankees circus will pick up again in May when Selena Roberts' book on A-rod is released with "more juicy details". Lovely. At least he has one [seriously ugly] friend in Boston.
-- The Yankees have purchased 24 years worth of free agents, at a cost of $18.375 million per year.

-- The other 29 teams have purchased 128 years worth of free agents, at a cost of $5 million per year.

-I agree with Shysterball that Bud Selig needs to cut it out...enough with this bullshit, already (though this Onion link from Shysterball is really funny). Speaking of the Onion, they declare A-rod dead at 33. And here is someone who agrees with me on Selig.
-The price for Anquan Boldin will be very high...and with his attitude, I think it's the last thing the Giants need.
-From Jay on the Andrew Oliver decision: "I had been researching this issue for my sports law professor all semester, and today the court finally released its opinion.  The effect of this case is simple, but could have many repercussions.  Basically, the NCAA's 'no agents' rule has been abolished.  Amateur athletes can now hire agents, advisers, and other types of representatives.  Somewhere, Scott Boras just came in his pants."
-High Zagat rating can get you audited (H/T Sarah)
-Office romance is up (H/T Sarah). So is romance on The Office
-Really good news about Justice Ginsberg (wishing her a speedy recovery!)
-Wow...the Bacon Bedside Alarm Clock. Great for Michael Scott.
-Lastly went to an event for Meezoog last night. It's a new social networking site. Write-up from Techcruch and Mashable talk about how it really makes sure that you know the people in your network. Pretty cool. Let me know if you need an invite.
