I hate to harp on this: but the Yankees, Metro-North and the MTA have done a HORRIBLE job with this whole Metro-North stop. Like a total botch job
Everything says something different. Some say it's free, some say $1, others say to "consult the mta website" which says nothing. Not one place has the correct schedule. Not one. A train arrived today at Harlem-125th st to take us to the Stadium that wasn't even on the schedule posted at 125th. There are no signs at Grand Central or 125th to say which track. There are no announcements from the Metro-North conductors of which track to go to when you get off. My train got into 125th today and the stupid shuttle driver left for Yankee Stadium without us instead of waiting 2 minutes for the obviously arriving train to join them.
And now, post game, we have a Harlem, Hudson, New Haven and New York shuttle train. Which is wonderful. Except we are ALL waiting to go. The game has been over for a good 40 minutes. The train was supposed to leave almost 30 minutes ago. When I asked the conductor what was going on, he told me that there was a single track leaving the Stadium and that they all had to wait for confirmation before leaving. Um, what?
On Yankees.com, they have nearly no information about this process, directing you to go to MTA.com. The conductors on the trains seem confused. They continually ask when they can leave and have been told they have to wait. For what, even they do not know.
So now as I sit here waiting for the train to move, I wonder how everyone could have botched this job so badly. Awful.
