Seeing Something You've Never Seen Before

There is a saying that every time you got to a baseball game, you see something that you've never seen before. Today was no different.

Eric Brunlett turned an unassisted triple play to end the game while I was at Citi Field this afternoon.

How rare is that?

Well this is only the 15th triple play in modern baseball

But even more rare is that the only other time that an unassisted triple play ended a game in baseball history was 1927 when the Detroit Tigers' Johnny Neun turned one to end a 1-0 game against the Cleveland Indians.

That saying came true today. Amazing.
