Running Series: Yankee Stadium Deconstruction Update + Barclays Center Construction Update 3/8/10

Out with the old, in with the new.  On the same day that Tom Kaminski snapped some new photos from Chopper 880, we got our first glimpse of the seating bowl in the Nets' soon-to-be-built Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

I have driven by the old Yankee Stadium several times since it closed its doors in late 2008.  However, driving on the Harlem River Drive this past Saturday afternoon, I got my first glimpse of the Stadium's external deconstruction.  It is plainly visible from the highway -- you can easily see how the upper deck in left field is missing pieces.  Anyway, here are the photos for your viewing enjoyment morbid curiosity:
