Alex Rodriguez has enjoyed a lot of success playing in Anaheim. Maybe he likes the warm weather or maybe it's playing in front of his superagent, Scott Boras, or maybe he just like to go to Disneyland after the games. Whatever it is, A-Rod has owned the Angels in their home ballpark. In fact, he has hit a home run in Anaheim in 13 out of the 15 years of his career since his rookie year in 1995 (1997 and 2004 were the lone exceptions).
He hasn't always had success in Anaheim (2006 for example), but overall he's done a tremendous amount of damage. I'm pretty sure the team changed their name to The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim just so A-Rod would think it was a different team. Check out A-Rod's stats over the years vs. the Angels:
Now that's impressive stuff. Let's hope A-Rod can keep it up in the ALCS, because when he faced the Angels in the playoffs, he was not so good:
Ouch. The Yankees will be hoping that the A-Rod from the regular season shows up starting Friday night.
