Yankees and Mets Are Lollygaggers

Via Bull Durham:
"You guys...you lollygag the ball around the infield. You lollygag your way down to first. You lollygag in and out of the dugout. You know what that makes you? Lollygaggers!"
The Yankees and Mets lollygagged tonight. Here's what they did combined:

6 hits, 0 runs, 8 Ks, 2 GIDP, 0-10 with RISP, 13 LOB, and 2 costly errors

Wonderful. Thanks for showing up guys.

Scooby Doo
was less predictable than your collective offensive efforts.

Not even kidding, Joel Piniero had two hits and scored a run. Chien-Ming Wang and Livan Hernandez had sacrifices. 6 starting position players for the Mets and 3 for the Yankees didn't even do that.

According to Play Index, since 1954, there have been 880 teams that have stolen at least 4 bases in a game. Only 29 times (3%) have they been shutout. The Yankees now made it 30.

Joel Piniero got 22 groundball outs

Congratulations, you suck.
