Nice Turnaround vs. Lefties

The Yankees had trouble hitting lefties last year. A lot of it. So much so they made getting Xavier Nady a priority at the trade deadline to give them another righty bat in the lineup.
This offseason they went and replaced lefties Jason Giambi and Bobby Abreu with switch hitting Mark Teixeira and Nick Swisher.
Last year the Yankees hit .258 (19th in the majors) vs. lefties with a .339 OBP and a .395 SLG.
This season, according to Peter Abraham: "The Yankees are 16-9 against left-handed starters this season. They are hitting .295 (second in the majors) against LHPs with a .380 OBP and a .503 SLG."
Nice turnaround
