Our next guest blogger, Sarah, is a frequent contributor to (with some great links) and reader of the blog. She hails from Beantown but currently resides in New York City. When not making Webisodes, "Twatting" (her word for using Twitter), denying her love for NASCAR, or watching the NBA, she like to do crossword puzzles, Sudoku, and play mahjong. A world traveler, she has only left to conquer Antarctica to reach every continent on earth. On her TV shows, she loves a leading man whether he be Jack Bauer, Jack McCoy, Gregory House or Michael Scott. Her favorite leading man, however, is her amazing boyfriend who she met when she saw her first episode of "24". So wouldn't it be fitting that her post is about just that?

Okay, okay - I know you need to suspend reality when watching shows like 24 - but I was having a conversation with Joe from my office (H/T to him for the data)
Based on the number of seasons and presidents - I see that at least 12-16 years should have passed since the start of the show - I'm just saying - events might occur in real time, but Jack's aging doesn't.
Season 1 (2002): Unknown president (Palmer's election)
Season 2: Palmer's Presidency (with brief takeover by VP James Prescott)
Season 3: Palmer's Presidency
At this point it's been 1 term since the start of the show (4 years)
Season 4: President John Keeler (Elected when David Palmer pulled out of race) until Air Force One was shot down - then Charles Logan
Season 5: Charles Logan, then Hal Gardner
2 Terms have now gone by.
Season 6: Wayne Palmer and Noah Daniels
3 Terms have now gone by
Season 7: Allison Taylor
this is at least Jack's 4 term working with Presidents (assuming no one was re-elected, which is often left vague and unanswered.) This also does not include work he did in Kosovo before the war (which was in 1999).

Nice job there by Sarah. She started watching in January of 2007 and is only a few episodes way in Season 5 of being totally caught up on the show. Not only does Jack not age, but he doesn't ever seem to need to eat, drink, sleep or use the bathroom. At this point, after being beaten up so many times as well as having his heart stopped and being addicted to heroin, I don't know how he still walks. Not sure I agree with her about the term limits, though. It could actually be longer. I think it is assumed that Charles Logan ran on his own after Keeler's term ended (judging by Logan's instance that he wants to make a name for HIS presidency (though this could just be a part of his ego). We have no idea whether the same occurred with Daniels as well. The one thing I like is that we know Agent Walker (AKA "Freckles") will be back for next season. It's nice to see their dynamic developing. Though I hear we're losing TWO big characters before the end of the season. Craziness as usual with "24".
