Well that wasn't very good. The refs are again killing the Rangers. Avery got two bogus calls against him. Actually, I've felt like most of the calls have gone against the Rangers in this game. Aren't you supposed to get the calls at home? Like, really, did Avery deserve an interference call? Do the refs have to make it that obvious they're targeting him for penalties? Ugh.
And regardless of the calls the Rangers aren't going to win if they don't put home rebounds. The rookie has been good in net, but he's let out rebounds. King Henrik tried his hardest but the Rangers have not been helping him out. The Rangers look slow and tired in this game. They are trying to play with Washington in this wide-open game and the Rangers are showing they're not equipped for that.
I said the Rangers needed to hit the goalie but they need to hit Ovechkin too. Finally Staal tried to at the end of the period. But after spying on their practice and being a general pest, they need to make him hurt.
Also, on a side issue. I'm having real issues seeing the game on my TV. I wonder if it's MSG or Time Warner but the picture looks really dark. Weird
