- The New York Times' Ben Shpigel writes that Monday's World Series rematch proved lopsided. The New York Daily News' Mike Lupica said that CC Sabathia was only so-so while ESPN New York's Wallace Matthews says that Sabathia is heating up again in June. ESPN's TMI blog says that CC won by not allowing well-hit balls (only one all game), getting swings and misses (30.8%, his second highest of the season), mixed speeds well (hitters were 0-6 against off-speed pitches), and owned righties (2-19 for a .105 average). ESPN's TMI blog also pointed out that both CC and Roy Halladay were unlucky.

- Much to my chagrin, the Lakers won the NBA Championship last night. But before the series, ESPN looked at the All-Time Lakers Franchise 5 and the All-Time Celtics Franchise 5.
- According to ESPN New York's Andrew Marchand, Derek Jeter and Jay-Z aren't recruiting LeBron James to New York, but according to the Washington Post's Ezra Klein, Mario Batali is. If King James is to come to New Jersey, Avery Johnson will be his new coach according to ESPN's Marc Stein (and a Jet Ski stuntman as their owner according to The Sporting Blog)
- Knowing what we know now, ESPN's E.J. Hradek redoes the 2003 NHL draft. Megan Fox is a Hartford Whaler fan according to Whaler Nation and WWTDD (H/T Jay). So is Adam Sandler and Grown Ups according to the Hartford Courant (H/T Michael)

- The World Cup: The US pulled out a 2-2 comeback tie today according to ESPN. The US's first game had a "Me-Blunder" which sent SI's Joe Posnanski searching for the top 10 "Me-Blunders" in sports. ESPN's Jeff Carlisle wrote about the bad old days of US Soccer (H/T Paul). The Wall Street Journal has a cool goal tracker on their site. Diego Maradona doesn't play nice according to ESPN.

- Warming Glow has news of Jersey Shore of the South and The New York Post has Snooki and John McCain talking via Twitter. Meanwhile, The New York Times banned the word "tweet" according to The Awl so they would be unable to report on the story it seems. Twitter (and Facebook) are now coming to your TV via TiVo according to The Wrap and the Wall Street Journal says that New York City is getting a Twitter guru.
- For New Yorkers: Grub Street New York has news of Shake Shack in the Theater District, The New York Times has tools for negotiating a lower rent, and I agree with Barstool Sports: Seinfeld Trivia was fuckin impossible (H/T Jay).
- Ralph Macchio takes on the new Karate Kid. Meanwhile, Cameron Diaz tries to boost Knight and Day by admitting to Playboy she loves the cock according to Movieline. Also being sexed up? Japanese government bonds according to the New York Times' Freakonomics blog.
