View From The Seats: Pedro's Return to Queens

At Citi Field this afternoon for Mets vs. Phillies. The game was Pedro's return to Queens. Mets got crushed in the first inning with Oliver Perez giving up 6 runs and getting pulled with two outs and a 3-0 count on Pedro Martinez.

Ollie sucked, but way to embarass him, Jerry.

It was a tough game for me...do I root for the cross-town rival Mets or Yankees rival Pedro?

Out of the sparse crowd here I would say it's about 50% Phillies fans.

We're in section 514 today. Great view from here of the entire field. For all the talk about obstructed views, empty seats behind the plate and seat prices in the Bronx, they have the same issue in Queens. Citi Field has horrible views down the lines on the top level. I walked over to Section 524 to visit some friends and I couldn't see half the field. Awful.

Ari's seats are quite a bit better. He's just over a dozen rows behind the plate as shown by the other picture.

Mets now down 9-6, trying to build a comeback
