Trivia Tuesday: Missing out on October

It hasn't been all smiles for Adam Dunn and the ChiSox (Chicago Tribune)
Adam Dunn is having an awful first season in Chicago and his White Sox currently sit 5 games out of first place. If Dunn and his White Sox don't make the playoffs, he'll extend his major-league leading active streak of the most regular season games played without making the playoffs. His streak currently sits at 1515 but 8 other active major league players have at least 1000 games played without making a playoff appearance. Can you name those other 8?

Bonus Question: obviously, Dunn is also on the list of players who have never made a World Series. But his 1515 games only ranks 12th among active Major Leaugers who never have made a World Series appearance. Can you name those top 11?

    Overbay (1212 games) is correct, but Aaron Hill (832 games) misses the game cutoff, and Adrian Gonzalez not only misses the cut in games (935), he actually MADE the playoffs with the 2006 Padres ;)

    For the bonus, Mike Cameron (1909 games) and Ichiro (1666 games) are correct

    Vernon Wells (1446 games, no playoffs) is certainly on there as it Ty Wigginton (1120 games).

    For the bonus, Wells falls short of Dunn so he misses out on the top 11, but Aramis Ramirez (1606 games, no WS), is on there. He was also on that 2003 Cubs team that was one Bartman out away...

    I'm gunna guess Pudge has not been in a World Series. I will also guess Jim Thome, no World Series

    Pudge has actually been to two World Series (and beat the Yankees in 2003). Thome was on the 1995 and 1997 World Series-losing Indians teams.

    So correct so far:

    No playoffs (5 left to go): Vernon Wells, Ty Wigginton, and Lyle Overbay

    No World Series (8 left to go): Aramis Ramirez, Ichiro and Mike Cameron
