In honor of serial-Yankee plunker Jeremy Guthrie, we have a HBP question this week (sorry...I know it's a day late):
Since 2000, 8 different pitchers have hit 85 or more batters. Matt Clement (who hasn't pitched since 2006) is 8th with 85. Who are the 7 pitchers who have plunked more batters than Clement?
Guess below in the comments and I'll reveal the answers later

Pedro should be on this list
ReplyDeleteAnd he is at #7. 6 more!
ReplyDeleteAJ Burnett
ReplyDeleteVictor Zambrano
Oliver Perez
No, no, and no (Burnett was the closest but he came in at 18th)
ReplyDeleteI have to say, really poor effort all around this week (I guess that's what happens when you do Trivia Tuesday on a Wednesday). The other 6 from #6 to #1: Randy Johnson, Chan Ho Park, Jamey Wright, Vincente Padilla, Jeff Weaver, and #1 is Tim Wakefield at 108
ReplyDeleteBelieve it or not I didn't really think of Johnson because as he became the dominant pitcher that he was his control actually became very good. The others I wouldn't have a clue.
