Even The New York Times Pokes Fun at Mets in Every Article

I don't think the title matches the article! H/T to @rebecca_glass for pointing this New York Times snafu out. The best part of this New York Times article considering the mismatched title is the lede: "Ryota Igarashi ran his left hand across the No. 18 on his new cream-tinted Mets pinstriped jersey and laughed."

I'm sure he did. Was that followed by "it was a nervous laughter because soon after he stared crying, wondering why he ever would have left Japan for this"? I wouldn't be surprised.

Another twitter user @bkabak points out that the Mets have decided to sue SpongeTech. So the Mets are disappointed in Beltran, David Wright is questioning the timing of the surgery, and then they held a conference call with Assistant GM John Rizzo (instead of Minaya or Wilpon) to talk about it which showed the team was quite in the dark and unhappy. Beltran chose to have the surgery against the Mets teams doctor's wishes which certainly shows that he doesn't trust them. But then again, with the Mets doctors 2009 resume, I doubt I'd let them fix a hangnail on me. Mike Francesa must be having a field day with this one.

Disaster.
