This one comes from former Knicks player and current Celtics head coach, Doc Rivers, after Magic Assistant Coach, Patrick Ewing, guaranteed victory (H/T Deadspin):
"Oh that's great. We feel great about that. I've been on those Knicks teams where he had some predictions."
Why is Rivers so confident? Here's the other times Ewing's played prognosticator before:
-Spring '94 declared this is our year (lost to Houston in the finals)
-February the following year Ewing guaranteed a win in the regular season matchup vs Shaq and the Magic (Shaq scored 41 and Orlando won)
-97-98 season Ewing guaranteed the Knicks were going to win a championship (they lost to the Pacers in the conference semifinals)
